Two sisters, one boy. This is bound to lead to family strife. As is normal for all of us as we grow up, some decisions we make are good, others bad, and many are just plain silly. These two sisters, Sarah and Julie, are no exception to the difficulties of living with a sister who is almost the same age. It is interesting to observe the girls as they mature.

“Home” by author Amber Grosjean is a light, easy-to-read novel, perfect for a relaxing afternoon. The characters are well-developed and enjoyable to get to know. Lessons to be learned are subtly and craftily woven into the storyline. I recommend this book. — Pat Spencer, author of “Sticks in a Bundle: The Early Years” and the sequel, “Transitions.”

“Escaping Her Past” by Amber Grojean is an engrossing and entertaining read. I was caught up in the suspense and family drama.

The twists and turns she skillfully created took me by surprise. Kathy, the main character, comes with a lifetime of baggage, yet that doesn’t hold her back. There’s a serious life lesson in the way, with the love and support of those who love her, Kathy takes charge of what her future will be. “Escaping Her Past” is a good read.
