Busy Times

This is the time of year when I'm really busy. The dizzy kind where you go to bed with all your-body-parts-aching-busy. If you didn't know already, I clean rooms for a small local hotel. I'm usually done before 1, but next month we have inspections here at the hotel, which means Billy (my hubby) and I are going above and beyond cleaning everything. We select 10 rooms, or the owner does, and those rooms get a deep cleaning. Ever since Billy and I started working here, the hotel has passed with an A with the Board of Health. We've been awarded as a result, which is really nice. This year, we do have a little help but still. It pulls me away from my writing, which I do hate.

Having fuller days means I have to work much harder to keep my writing life intact, and I do. I've been pulling my all-nighters like I normally do, which evens everything out. But I've been sore, so that doesn't help. Once the inspections are over, we get to go back to our normal schedule. Thankfully, it's only one day, but the days leading up to it are painfully busy, and those are the days I'm wishing I was right here at my laptop typing away.

I know it's hard, but remember this.... Just breathe. That's what I'm gonna do. Need to let out some steam? Reply back and vent--let it all out. I promise I will never judge you.
