I love showing my support for Indie Authors. I'm one of them and very proud! It isn't easy writing a book, finding an editor, getting a cover created, and then work out all that marketing for the book, but we do it, often on our own. All of that and we only get paid when someone buys one of our books. Often, we don't get all of our money back that we put into it. But we do it because we love the craft.
Are you an author? Have you self-published your baby? You don't have to do everything alone. Luckily, because of technology, there are a lot of places where you can find help.
Here are a few places where you can find some help with your book....
Name Generator:https://www.name-generator.org.uk/ On this site, you can find names for your characters, names for your town/city, nicknames, pen name, book title, and more! This is one of my go-to's when I can't think of a name for one of my characters.
Mockups: https://diybookcovers.com/3Dmockups/ This is a cool site where you can take a flat picture and turn it into a book for marketing purposes. Choose the type, add your picture, and save it to your PC. If you save it as a png there won't be a background.
Tools for Marketing: https://kindlepreneur.com/ On this site, you can do a number of things. You can rewrite your blurb here. It is AI, but it can help inspire you to write something better. Just add in what you have and hit enter. It was rewrite it, you can choose to keep it or try something else. There are other features on this site so check it out!
Create one Link: https://books2read.com/ If you have more than one place where your book can be found, you can easily create one link for that book. Combine all links and put it in one place so your readers can choose where to buy it. You can even change the link so your book name is part of the link! This makes marketing a little easier.
Logo Maker: https://www.brandcrowd.com/logo-maker?fbclid=IwAR3ZoC6FHVQuXp5y2IwFcddTJGhqq0TIxdl6e-gucPLsTKmUOhww0Cs6tUg You don't have to have a logo, but if you want one, you can make it yourself. This site has a fre version and paid version to help get you started. If anything, it can give you ideas for a logo.
More Resources: https://booktoursauthorsun.wixsite.com/home/resources I've compiled other resources for authors here. Check out this site. You can also be added to this site if you're not on there already. It's totally free!
