It begins with Gratitude

Thanksgiving (in the US) happens this month. This is usually the time when we think of all of the things we're thankful for. It should be daily, but it is what it is. I do try to give thanks as often as I can, even when it isn't on a daily basis.

I wouldn't be where I am if it weren't for my readers and fellow authors who have helped me along the way. I want to thank everyone for their support, guidance, and love! You are the reason I keep writing. You are the reason I haven't given up. And you're the reason why I care so much! Thank you!

Without gratitude, I don't think a lot of us would be where we are today. I don't think there is a single author who got where they are without someone in their corner at some point in their career. Having people rooting for us can make a big difference.

I'd like to give names for people who I am especially thankful for...

Elora Canne who has read and left amazing reviews for my books. She also gave me a chance and asked me to create covers for her. I am especially thankful for that. The fact that she loved them and has fans who loved those covers made me feel awesome. I am grateful for that.

C Philip has also read my books and left reviews for them. Of course, those books were under my previous pen name, but still. I am thankful she did that. It means a lot that someone took the time to share how my stories made her feel.

Other authors like HA Pruitt, TL Clark, MH Woodscourt, Enna L Foxwood, and more took me into their writing community and accepted me as their friend. Each author within the community offered their wisdom and time, helping me to grow alongside them. I am grateful for each and every one of them. Without all of these authors, Instagram wouldn't be what it is. It's one of the reasons I continue to go back every day, just to see what they're posting. I value their input, opinions, and creativity. They each bring something different. There are more authors, too many to share, but I am truly grateful for all of them.

And you know what? I am grateful to you, too, because you, my friend, make writing each story worthwhile. You make me want to bring out the best in me. I am motivated because of you. I am inspired because of you. Thank you!
